Om Sri Gurubhyo Namah. Hari Om. The Guru is Brahma, the Guru is Vishnu, the Guru is Lord Maheshwara; the Guru is the Supreme Brahman incarnate-salutations to that Guru. Salutations to the one who resides in the supreme celestial realm. On the occasion of the first death anniversary (prathama vardhanti) of the late Gundu Sivayya-born into the Kaunya Gotra-I perform this floral worship (pushpa puja) in his honor. I invoke, install, and worship him. I offer a seat adorned with precious gems; I offer water for the feet (padyam), water for the hands (arghyam), and pure water for sipping (achamaniyam). I offer garments and an upper cloth (uttariyam). I apply sacred sandalwood paste, turmeric powder, and vermilion (kumkum). I offer a handful of flowers (sumanjali) and unbroken grains of rice (akshata). I offer fragrant incense (dhupam).
To the vital breaths (pranas): Om Pranaya Svaha, Om Apanaya Svaha, Om Samanaya Svaha, Om Udanaya Svaha. Om Yanayasvaha. I offer water for sipping, followed by water for rinsing the mouth. I cleanse the hands and the feet, and offer pure water for ritual sipping (achamaniyam). Salutations to the Great Dweller of the Beyond (Sri Maha Paraloka Vasaya). As an offering, I present five types of food preparations (pancha-bhakshya) and sweet rice pudding (paramannam) to the best of my ability. Following this, I perform the auspicious waving of lights (mangala nirajanam). "Om Sarvamangala Mangalye Shive Sarvartha Sadhike, Sharanye Tryambake Devi Narayani Namostute" - salutations to the Great Dweller of the Beyond. I present this auspicious light (mangala nirajanam). I offer betel leaves, areca nuts, camphor powder, dates, and unbroken rice grains (akshata) as a traditional offering (tambulam).
Greetings. Today, at the Amma Nanna Ashramam Choutuppal-a sacred shelter located in Yadadri district-amidst 500 destitute individuals who are mentally challenged, we observe the first death anniversary (prathama vardhanti) of the late Gundu Sivayya. He was a resident of Allamede-devi Cheruvu and belonged to the Kaundinya Gotra. Praying to the Supreme Lord (Parameshwara) for the peace of his sacred soul, and with his blessings, his son and daughter-in-law (Gundu Jangayya and Manga), his sons-in-law and daughters (Swami Goud and Jayamma, Shankarayya and Manjula, Jangayya and Santhosh), and the entire family have organized this gathering.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the family members who have contributed to this noble Annadanam For Destitute People program, and we convey our deep gratitude to your families as well. With the blessings of our elders, you are personally conducting this charitable food donation with great grandeur. May those who provide food be blessed with happiness and prosperity (Annadata Sukhibhava). Please begin the Annadana program.
Greetings to everyone. Today, on the occasion of the death anniversary of my father, Gundi Sivayya, I am truly happy to participate in this food distribution initiative at the ashram. It brings me great joy to be able to satisfy the hunger of so many individuals in my father's name. I extend my special thanks to the organizers of this ashram for providing this opportunity and for carrying out such noble service. I conclude by thanking you once again for allowing us to be a part of this meaningful initiative. By providing a meal to the destitute and those without support living in this ashram, you may receive the complete grace of the Divine (Parameshwara). If you are unable to be present in person, you may send your contribution; we will perform prayers at the Shivalayam (Shiva temple) and, in your name, provide food to those in need-thereby earning the merits of virtuous deeds that will endure through lifetimes.
