A New Life for Orphans Through the Humanity of Auto Drivers

Auto Drivers Are the Refuge..

One such story begins in the Konda Mallugattu area, where a mentally unstable orphan had been wandering the roads for days—unwashed, unnoticed, and unloved. Many may have seen him lying among garbage heaps, but few stopped to care.

It was a group of compassionate auto drivers who became the boy’s saviors. Having heard of Amma Nanna Orphanage and its mission, they took it upon themselves to bring him to safety. Their action was simple but powerful—a reminder that true kindness doesn’t need wealth or influence, only a willing heart.

From Streets to Shelter

Upon arrival at the ashram, the boy was gently received by our team. He was immediately taken to our in-house hospital, where medical staff confirmed he was suffering from mental health issues. Without delay, he was given a warm bath, a fresh haircut, clean clothes, and a wholesome meal.

This transformation wasn't just physical—it was emotional. From a life of fear and hunger, he stepped into a world of safety and care.
